How we handle your information
Nevada Autism Support Alliance ("NASA," "we," "us") is a Nevada 501(c)(3) non-profit. We collect information from families only to evaluate program eligibility, deliver services, and follow up on requests for help.
Information we collect
Information you submit through our application or contact forms — including parent/guardian name, contact details, child's name and date of birth, diagnosis or referral status, current insurance, therapy details, and a brief description of financial hardship. We may also collect supporting documents you choose to share with us during review.
How we use it
We use submitted information to (1) review and respond to your application or inquiry, (2) coordinate services with therapy providers or insurers when you ask us to, (3) send transactional email notifications related to your application status, and (4) maintain anonymized program statistics for grant reporting. We do not sell your information.
Email notifications
When you submit an application or message, we send confirmation and follow-up emails to the address you provide. These are transactional and related to your request. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the link in any message we send.
Who can see it
Access is limited to NASA staff and volunteers reviewing your case. We may share information with a partner provider only with your explicit consent, or when required by law (for example, mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect).
How long we keep it
We keep application records for up to seven years for grant audit and reporting purposes, then securely delete them. You may request deletion of your record at any time by emailing us — see the Contact page.
Your choices
You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Children's information is provided by a parent or legal guardian; the same rights apply.
Security
We store data with reputable cloud providers using encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure — please don't include unnecessary sensitive details in free-text fields.
