Yes. All of our navigation, guidance, and education services are free to Las Vegas families. We're a 501(c)(3) non-profit funded by donations and grants. The premium grant program also provides direct financial assistance at no cost.
No. Many families reach out before an evaluation — that's often when our help matters most. We can guide you through getting evaluated, starting Early Intervention, and preparing for what comes next.
The grant is limited and reviewed case-by-case — it's not available to every family that asks. Typical recipients are Las Vegas families at or below 400% of the federal poverty level, whose child has an autism diagnosis (or is actively being evaluated), who currently have an individual / marketplace insurance plan (or are switching to one), and who are moving from a low-support ABA provider to one with stronger, more individualized care. Approval also depends on current funding.
Two narrow things, in qualifying cases only: (1) offsetting the monthly premium of an individual / marketplace (Healthcare.gov) health plan when changing plans is what allows your child to leave a low-support ABA company for a better-supported one, and (2) helping cover the cost of diagnostic testing with select partner providers when an evaluation is the barrier to care. We don't cover employer plans, Medicaid premiums, copays, or deductibles. Our insurance guidance team can help with those conversations separately.
Yes. Denials are common and very often reversed on appeal. We'll help you request the denial letter, identify the real reason (medical necessity language, network issues, hour caps), draft the appeal, and if needed file a complaint with the Nevada Division of Insurance.
